Magpie Bakery

Hands down the best bakery you will find in Galway. Be prepared for a line, but it's all indoors. I was able to try Magpie twice during my trip to Galway. Both times, I got in line 30 minutes before opening (8:00 am on a Thursday and 9:30 am on a Saturday). On Thursday, I was first in line. On Saturday, there were about 12 people in front of me. There are a lot of bread choices and many different pastries. I tried the lemon meringue danish, plum & vanilla danish, butter croissant, apple & brown

This is one of the best bakeries in the world! Be prepared for long lines and make sure to go on a day and at a time when they are open (Thurs + Fri 8.30am-3pm Sat + Sun 10am-3pm) - go early! And it is SO worth it! Every pastry is flavorful, moist, textured and delicious. Coffees are great as well. Staff is friendly and helpful. There is limited seating. Worth traveling to Galway if you are a pastry lover😋!

Absolutely obsessed with Magpie Bakery. The cinnamon bun was next-level—pillowy soft, perfectly caramelised, and full of warm spice without being overly sweet. The only “bad” thing is the queue (it’s always busy!) and that they’re not open every day—because you’ll want it all the time. Worth it.
