FarmFinder Ireland is designed to respect your privacy. We collect minimal data to provide and improve our directory service:

• Search queries and preferences are stored locally in your browser using localStorage. This data never leaves your device.
• Form submissions (such as listing submissions via our submit page) are collected to add or update producer listings in the directory.
• Account information is collected only if you choose to create an account through our optional authentication system, powered by Supabase. This includes your email address and any profile details you provide.

How We Use Your Data

We use the data we collect solely to operate and improve the FarmFinder directory. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Form submissions are used to keep the directory accurate and up to date. Account data is used to provide dashboard features for business owners who claim their listings.

Cookies and Local Storage

FarmFinder uses minimal browser storage. We use localStorage to save your favourites, preferences, and recent searches so they persist between visits. We do not use third-party tracking cookies. No advertising cookies are placed on your device.

Analytics

We use privacy-respecting analytics to understand how the site is used in aggregate. No personally identifiable information is collected through our analytics. We do not track individual users across the web or build advertising profiles.

Third-Party Services

FarmFinder relies on the following third-party services to operate:

• Supabase provides authentication and database services for user accounts and business owner dashboards.
• Vercel hosts the FarmFinder website and handles content delivery.
• Anthropic powers our AI meal planner feature. Meal planner queries are processed by Anthropic's API but are not used to train AI models or shared with other parties.

We do not share your personal data with any of these services beyond what is necessary to provide the features described above.

Your Rights (GDPR)

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct any inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
• Delete your personal data and account at any time.
• Export your data in a portable format.
