Using FarmFinder

FarmFinder Ireland is a free online directory that connects consumers with local food producers across Ireland. You may browse, search, and use the directory without charge. No account is required to use the core directory features.

Producer Listings

Producer data in our directory is sourced from publicly available directories, official food body listings, and user submissions. While we make every effort to keep listings accurate and up to date, we cannot guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or currency of any listing information. We recommend contacting producers directly to confirm details such as opening hours, product availability, and pricing before visiting.

Submitting Listings

Users can submit new producer listings via our submit page. All submissions are subject to review and moderation. We reserve the right to edit, reject, or remove any submitted listing at our discretion. Listings must relate to genuine food producers, farms, or markets operating in Ireland.

Accounts and Business Claims

Accounts are free and optional. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure. You can delete your account at any time from your settings, which permanently removes your data — see the privacy policy and Your Data.

Claiming a business listing requires that you genuinely represent that business, and verification may be required. Fraudulent claims will be reversed and the associated account may be closed. Claimed listings remain subject to moderation; content you add must be accurate and lawful, and you grant us a licence to display it on FarmFinder.

Listing Corrections and Removal

If a listing about your business is inaccurate, or you do not wish to be listed, use the "request a correction or removal" link on the listing page or contact us. We act on such requests within 30 days, normally much faster.

Acceptable Use

Don't abuse the service: no scraping at a scale that degrades it for others, no attempts to circumvent rate limits or quotas on the AI meal planner, no submitting false listings or false claims, and no using the contact or email features to send spam. We may restrict access to protect the service.

AI Meal Planner

FarmFinder includes an AI-powered meal planner feature that suggests recipes and meal ideas based on locally available produce. These suggestions are for informational and inspirational purposes only. They do not constitute medical, dietary, or nutritional advice. If you have food allergies, intolerances, or specific dietary requirements, please consult a qualified professional. Prices shown in meal plans are estimates, not quotes — confirm with the producer. Producer availability and stock suggested by the planner may differ on the day.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and any disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the Irish courts.

We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the reliability, availability, or suitability of the service for any particular purpose. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the directory or reliance on its content.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of FarmFinder after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
