How it is built
Gathered, matched, credited, corrected
A directory is only useful if it is accurate and fair to the people in it. This is how we try to keep it so.
- Step 1
Gather
Listings start from publicly available information about Irish food producers, and from producers themselves.
- Step 2
Match
We merge the same business when it appears more than once, so you see one listing, not three.
- Step 3
Credit
Where a listing draws on a published source, it links back to it.
- Step 4
Correct
When a producer tells us something is wrong, or asks to be taken down, we fix it or remove it, and the removal sticks.
