McCarthy's Of Kanturk

With all the hullabulloo about this shop I decided to give it a try. What I noticed was that of all the butcher shops in Kanturk, this shop has the poorest in store trade or over the counter trade, ( unless I always shopped during the quiet times).It seems Jack McCarthys brand name is synonymous with the catering trade, but all you will get to see on menus is his sausage and puddings and every butcher shop in the country that produces their own sausage and puddings has won some type of award for

Outstanding meats and pre-prepared meals. The black and white pudding are to die for - well, everything is really. The pulled pork is a firm favourite in our house. Service with a smile and a chat always. So helpful.

Just cooked McCarthy's sausages now , and I took a bite and I looked at my wife with shock .and I said iI think I just ate the nicest sausage ever . And gave her some to try and she also was amazed . As I'm also a butcher I could apreciate what mcarthys had put together . And their puddings are incredible too .well done lads .
