The Meade Family, like all Irish farm families, has always spent a lot of their ‘down’ time talking ‘shop’ or in this case, weather, harvest, etc. around the kitchen table.They debate about things like the best variety of spud, whether they should plant onion or carrots in a particular field. Thanks to their love of their family farm business, it has grown from being a small potato supplier to local shops to a grower, packer and distributor to retailers nationwide.

Our Farm Shop team has created a ‘foodie destination’, where customers can choose from some amazing ingredients; craft meats from our butcher’s counter, local in-season fresh fruit and vegetables, fresh breads and cakes, Irish artisan foods, and even prepared meals and soups produced by Ballymaguire Foods on our farm.

Finnegan’s are award winning potato specialists, dedicated to cultivating the perfect potato. With the aim of increasing the image and profile of potatoes, the Finnegan brothers bid to boost potato consumption by making the potato a more fashionable part of modern day meals and a healthy, convenient food for consumers on the go.

The Killavullen Farmers' Market is a community market set up in 2002 following a conference held on the "Food we buy", inspired by Darina Allen who was a guest speaker. The market is set in the peaceful surroundings of the in the Blackwater valley. Beautiful walks around the Centre and by the river are a must.

Sheltered from wind and rain, you can visit the various stalls and talk directly to the friendly local producers who grow, make, and source the array of quality foods available. Fresh local produce. Meat and dairy products from animals raised in space and freedom. Marvellous cakes and bread with not an E-number to be found among the ingredients. We have been growing vegetables organically in Ballinasloe Co. Galway since 2002. We began with a box scheme, followed by markets and then into wholesale to food service, then to shops selling prepack vegetables and finally selling bulk pallets to consolidators and other food businesses. We are currently selling business to business only supplying shops, supermarkets restaurants and market stall and veg box schemes.

We are an organic regenerative family farm situated in south carlow. We supply lamb and pig boxes on request also. Our hens go out to the fields each morning and pick true our multi species grasses which gives the eggs a rich colour and flavour. We have potato’s and jams available at certain times of the year depending on season. We get honey from a local beekeeper but we now have our own hives and will be providing honey from our farm this year. We will be starting farm tours/walks in 2027 for people to come see how we produce what you eat in a healthy and sustainable way true our regenerative practices.
