Lough Ree Distillery

Fantastic experience at Lough Ree Distillery this past June. Our tour group was roaming about Ireland and as I continued to harass the living daylights out of the guides, they arranged for us to stop in and see the operation and have a tasting. I enjoyed everything we tried but especially enjoyed their series "The Bridge." I believe they source the base whiskey from Bushmills, but then then put their own finishes on it and it was all great, with a couple being flat-out amazing. Walked out with

We were really disappointed with our visit to Lough Ree Distillery. The information available clearly stated it would be open, but when we arrived after traveling a long way, the place was completely closed. We had hoped to visit, see the distillery, and collect the stamp for our whiskey passport, but unfortunately that wasn’t possible. We stayed around for a while, rang the doorbell, and waited, but no one showed up. It’s a shame, especially since we likely won’t get the chance to return anytim

Wonderful small distillery with an amazing future. Family owned, run, and planned. Right now it's a small op but they already have new property and aspirations that match their never disappointing core products as well as their eye 👀 popping cask choices. Definitely stop by (and ring the Bell across the street!) if you're nearby for any reason.
