About GIY

GIY is non profit social enterprise, founded in Waterford in 2008 that is building a movement of people connected to real food. In GIY, we believe that healthy soil grows healthy food. And healthy food grows healthy people. For nearly two decades we have been supporting people to connect to real food by growing some food themselves. In 2016 we opened our urban farm and farm-to-fork cafe GROW HQ in Waterford as the home of GIY. In 2023 we took on a 13 acre walled garden in the Curraghmore Estate to create the GIY Farm where we grow organic certified veg and fruit, and keep hens and Tamworth...
