About Leitrim Hill Creamery
Our Sweet Leitrim Ice Cream is 100% handmade. Our process is simple: upon collecting milk from local goat and cow dairy farmers, we separate the milk into cream and skim milk. We make a custard base with the fresh cream, free-range eggs, sugar, and sea salt. Our flavours are created from locally farmed and foraged produce. We source our chocolate and vanilla with the highest standards of production, land stewardship, and farmers rights in mind.

They produce an excellent goat's cheese. Richelle was very friendly and informative, explaining the cheese making process and introducing us to Cajeta (a Mexican specialty of caramelised goat's milk, similar to dulce de leche). They also sell other Irish cheeses and fudge, which is very tasty too.
My son and I visited Leitrim Hill Creamery today after discovering it on Google Maps, and I absolutely loved it! The owner was incredibly kind, welcoming, and had many interesting stories to share. She even gave us a tour of the small, family-run farm, which was great. We purchased some raw, fresh goat's milk, goat cheese, a goat and cow cheese blend, and fudge—all made on the farm. Lovely pizzas and testing ice cream...maybe on the product line soon. Goats and hens were in fine fettle. Still 5 star with ice cream selling...delicious, soft goats cheese and now hard goats cheese incredibly good.
