Sustainable Seafood Ireland Ltd was first set up in 2013 by owner Niall Sabongi. Niall is a chef / restaurant owner and SSI was first set up to supply his growing restaurant business. The reason it was set up was that as a predominantly seafood Chef, Niall wanted better a better understanding of where his seafood came from and if it was truly sustainable. Along with this Niall wanted quality, variety of species, access to fish and shellfish that often only gets exported.

Family-run fresh fishmonger in Kimmage (Dublin 12). Founded in the old Smithfield Fish Market and now run by the second generation (Linda, Philip, John and Jennie Fitzsimons). Fish is filleted daily on the premises; live lobster, crab and oysters from an in-store tank, plus homemade fish cakes, chowders and fish pies. Also historically traded as J L Fitzsimons Fresh Fish Shop / John Fitzsimmons Fishmonger.

Today Roundstone is a popular holiday resort renowned among artists and naturalists for the remarkable beauty of the surrounding mountains and seascapes. It has a traditional craft centre and local activities include Connemara Pottery, Connemara Jewellery and Connemara Instrument making. Connemara Farming, Connemara Fishing, Connemara Forestry and Connemara Quarrying are carried out extensively in the area.
