Sep 2025. A family group attended the 'Taste the Orchard' in 2025. It is a fabulous event, information on at least 25 -30 different types of Irish Heritage apples with tastings next to the trees in the various orchards; information on [and demonstrations of] grafting, different root stocks, suggestions for orchard planning, juicing and sampling fresh apple juice, tarts, strudel and chutney tastings, brilliant. Well worth a visit, even in late October. Lovely coffee, Paul was so helpful and we will be buying a few trees when it's the right month. The cafe had a nice cosy seated area. Had a lovely walk through the orchard and even picked up a windfall apple. Recommend a visit even off season
Visited late in evening so hadn't enough time to fully explore all on offer. But the log hives were very interesting and gardeners there took time to chat about what they do.
