About Burtown House, Co. Kildare

> It’s a real joy being able to watch the food you eat being grown and gathered right in front of you. At The Green Barn, this contemporary restaurant set in the historic gardens of Burtown House, the visual feast begins when guests first lay eyes on the walled vegetable garden just a few meters from their tables. And that’s as far as almost 100% of the fresh produce on their plates will travel.

Review is only of the Green Barn Resturant. The atmosphere was both lovely & festive. The food was really lovely, fresh and presented well and service too was warm and welcoming - thanks especially to Naseem. This is not a cheap location but to be fair, happier to spend for the quality received, on occasion. Many thanks, will return before too long...

First, the car park is a gravel sinkhole. No, lighting as you're coming out to find the car. Extremely overpriced food and drink. Coffee is served in takeaway cups. Can we please stop this trend? The staff are friendly. This was my second time going. I attended the Christmas market, and after you pay, you are left sitting outside in an unheated gazebo. The restaurant is decorated lovely, but it's not worth going out of your way for.

Overpriced mediocrity and notions like you wouldn't believe. We had lunch at The Green Barn Restaurant and explored the grounds. My party went for the 2 course lunch for €45 expecting something more than average. The food tasted great and was well presented, but Ireland has become such a food mecca that standards are high everywhere and this was something you could get at many pubs in Dublin for a more reasonable price. Maybe the edibles flowers sprinkled on top of the food drove up the price.
